The theme of our upcoming con- gress, “Switzerlandwithout Europe – Europe without Switzerland”, illus- trates that the relationship between Switzerland and Europe is a topic that extends far beyond the Europe issue. It is a topic with global dimensions, not only because of potential conse- quences for Switzerland, but also be- cause of implications for domestic and foreign policy, as well as the economy.
